Senate Candidate Sean Buckner Had Three Business Entities — None Appeared in His Federal Bankruptcy Filing
Arizona Corporation Commission records reveal an aerosports LLC bearing Buckner's name, formed eight months before his bankruptcy and amended just three months before he signed the petition declaring zero business interests under penalty of perjury — and its name corresponds directly to the occupation he claimed as his sole income source

What started as a routine search of the Arizona Corporation Commission's public business records database — prompted by Sean Buckner's own Facebook response to investigative reporting — has produced a discovery that goes well beyond what this investigation initially anticipated.
Oklahoma U.S. Senate candidate William Sean Buckner had not one, not two, but three business entities registered with the State of Arizona during the years surrounding his 2015 federal bankruptcy filing. None of them appear anywhere in that filing. The petition he signed under penalty of perjury in March 2015 declared zero business ownership interests of any kind.
The most significant of these entities — a limited liability company called B&N Aerosports LLC — was formed just eight months before the bankruptcy filing and was actively amended just three months before Buckner signed the petition. Its name corresponds directly to the occupation he claimed as his sole source of income in that same filing. And William S. Buckner is listed as one of its members at the same address that appears throughout his bankruptcy documents.
This is not a story about a forgotten shell company formed years earlier that may have slipped through the cracks of a bankruptcy disclosure. This is a story about an active, recently amended business entity that appears to be directly connected to the income Buckner reported in his bankruptcy filing — an entity that was legally alive and recently modified in the months immediately preceding the filing and that does not appear anywhere in it.
How This Investigation Began: The Facebook Post That Opened a Door
PublicCrime.com and citizen journalist Dustin Terry have spent weeks documenting the public court record of William Sean Buckner, Republican candidate for the Oklahoma U.S. Senate seat vacated by Markwayne Mullin's appointment as U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.
That record, drawn entirely from public court documents and government filings, includes a fourteen-year Arizona family court battle over child support for his daughter, a $15,383.62 child support judgment entered by the State of Oklahoma in March 2025 covering nine years of non-payment from January 2016 through February 2025, a federal civil rights lawsuit arising from a traffic stop that a federal judge found frivolous unreasonable and groundless resulting in approximately $50,000 in attorney fee sanctions plus an additional $956.19 in taxed costs ordered in May 2025, a criminal conviction in New Jersey in November 2025 for defiant trespass and threatening language, and a 2015 federal bankruptcy petition that declared zero business ownership interests while listing $29,537 in unpaid child support as nearly ninety percent of his total declared debt.
On Tuesday April 8, 2026, Buckner posted a lengthy public response to that reporting on his Facebook page "Sean Buckner Transparency." He was angry. He called the reporting false. He threatened legal action against citizen journalist Dustin Terry. And in defending himself he mentioned for the first time a company called Sean Buckner and Associates Real Estate through which he claims he transferred over $1.5 million in property to his ex-wife Kimberly during their divorce settlement.
That mention sent investigators to the Arizona Corporation Commission's publicly searchable business records database.
What they found was not one business entity. It was three. And the third one — the one nobody had thought to look for — is the one that raises the most serious questions about his bankruptcy filing.
The Three Business Entities: What the Arizona Corporation Commission Shows
Entity One: Sean Buckner & Associates Realty, Inc.
This is the company Buckner mentioned in his Facebook response. According to Arizona Corporation Commission records it was formed on May 13, 1999 as a domestic for-profit real estate corporation. William S. Buckner is listed as Secretary from September 2003. The address on file is 726 E Van Buren Street, Goodyear, Arizona 85338 — the same address as his bankruptcy filing.
Current status: INACTIVE. Reason: Administrative Dissolution — Failure to File Annual Report. Dissolution date: September 28, 2007. Last annual report filed: 2005. Twenty consecutive years of unfiled reports from 2006 through 2025.
On the bankruptcy disclosure question this company is probably not the central legal issue. Its administrative dissolution in September 2007 places it approximately eighteen months outside the six-year lookback window that runs back from the March 2015 bankruptcy filing to March 2009. Whether a company that was dissolved but never properly wound up through legal channels falls outside the disclosure obligation is a nuanced legal question. What is not nuanced is the context: a real estate company substantial enough to hold and transfer $1.5 million in property was abandoned and dissolved by administrative failure during the same period Buckner was failing to pay court-ordered child support in the Maricopa County family court.
Entity Two: Sean Buckner Industries, L.L.C.
This is the company Buckner did not mention in his Facebook response.
Sean Buckner Industries LLC was formed on March 2, 2006 as a domestic limited liability company in Arizona. William S. Buckner is listed as its sole member and statutory agent. Address: 726 E Van Buren Street, Goodyear, Arizona 85338 — identical to his bankruptcy filing address. Since the Articles of Organization were approved in March 2006 the company has never filed a single additional document with the Arizona Corporation Commission. In Arizona LLCs are not required to file annual reports. As a result Sean Buckner Industries LLC has simply remained legally alive with no further action required.
Current status: ACTIVE. IN GOOD STANDING.
This company was formed in March 2006, well within the six-year lookback window for the March 2015 bankruptcy. It was legally active at the time of the filing. William S. Buckner is its sole member. It does not appear anywhere in the bankruptcy schedules.
We have been appropriately cautious about this entity. An LLC can be formed and then sit completely dormant — no bank account, no income, no contracts, no activity whatsoever. If Sean Buckner Industries LLC never conducted any business its practical significance to a bankruptcy estate may be minimal. A dormant shell with no assets has nothing to offer creditors. Whether its absence from the filing constitutes a material omission depends on questions only Buckner can answer about what the company was formed to do and whether it ever had any assets or activity.
That caution was reasonable when applied to Sean Buckner Industries LLC. It does not apply in the same way to the third entity.
Entity Three: B&N Aerosports LLC
This is the company that changes the entire picture.
According to Arizona Corporation Commission records B&N Aerosports LLC was formed on July 9, 2014 as a domestic limited liability company in Arizona. Business ID: L19380064. Principal office address: 15715 W Shiloh Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338.
That address — 15715 W Shiloh Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338 — is the exact address listed in Buckner's 2015 bankruptcy filing. Not a similar address. The same address.
The company lists three principals. Charles J. Norris of 73 E Monte Vista Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 is listed as both Manager and Member, taking office in July 2014. Charles J. Norris is also listed as the statutory agent. The third principal is William S. Buckner — listed as a Member, taking office in July 2014, at 15715 W Shiloh Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338.
The filing history shows two entries. Articles of Organization filed July 9, 2014 — approved. Articles of Amendment filed December 26, 2014 — approved.
Current status: ACTIVE. IN GOOD STANDING.
Now consider the timeline.
B&N Aerosports LLC was formed on July 9, 2014. Buckner's bankruptcy petition was filed on March 6, 2015. The gap between those two dates is eight months.
B&N Aerosports LLC was actively amended on December 26, 2014. Buckner's bankruptcy petition was filed on March 6, 2015. The gap between those two dates is approximately ten weeks. Less than three months.
Someone — Buckner and his co-member Charles J. Norris — went to the Arizona Corporation Commission and filed an amendment to this company's organizational documents in December 2014. Ten weeks later Buckner signed a federal bankruptcy petition under penalty of perjury declaring zero business ownership interests of any kind.
B&N Aerosports LLC does not appear anywhere in that bankruptcy filing.
The Name That Makes This Impossible to Dismiss
The caution we applied to Sean Buckner Industries LLC — the possibility that it was a dormant shell with no assets or activity — cannot be applied to B&N Aerosports LLC in the same way. And the reason why is right there in the name.
B&N Aerosports.
In his March 2015 bankruptcy filing Buckner listed his occupation as paraglider instructor. Self-employed. For two and a half years. His entire reported income — $492.34 per month — came from what he described as self-employment in a business profession or farm. Paragliding is an aerosport. The paragliding equipment listed in his bankruptcy assets — a paraglider, payout winch, harnesses, tandem reserve, helmets, books, and student practice gear valued at $3,000 — is the equipment of an aerosports business.
B&N Aerosports LLC. Formed eight months before the bankruptcy. Amended three months before the bankruptcy. William S. Buckner listed as a member at the same address as the bankruptcy filing. A company whose name corresponds directly to the occupation and income source Buckner claimed in that same filing.
He told the bankruptcy court he was a self-employed paraglider instructor earning $492 a month. He did not tell the bankruptcy court he was a member of an LLC called B&N Aerosports. Those two facts sit in direct tension with each other and demand an explanation.
What Federal Bankruptcy Law Actually Requires
Federal bankruptcy Schedule B requires debtors to disclose all stock and interests in incorporated and unincorporated businesses and all interests in partnerships or joint ventures. The Statement of Financial Affairs question 18 requires individual debtors to list all businesses in which they were an officer, director, partner, or managing executive, or in which they owned five percent or more of the voting or equity securities, within the six years immediately preceding the filing.
Six years before March 2015 is March 2009.
B&N Aerosports LLC was formed in July 2014. It falls within the disclosure window. William S. Buckner is a listed member. It was amended in December 2014 — three months before the filing. It is not in the bankruptcy filing.
Sean Buckner Industries LLC was formed in March 2006. It falls within the disclosure window. William S. Buckner is the sole member and statutory agent. It is not in the bankruptcy filing.
Two active Arizona LLCs with William S. Buckner listed as a member or sole member. Both within the six-year disclosure window. Neither appearing anywhere in his federal bankruptcy filing.
What This Publication Is and Is Not Saying
We want to be precise because precision matters both for accuracy and for fairness to the subject of this reporting.
We are not asserting that Sean Buckner committed bankruptcy fraud or perjury. Those are serious legal conclusions that require evidence and analysis beyond what public records alone can establish and they are determinations that belong to federal authorities and courts not to this publication.
What we are asserting is the following based entirely on public government records.
The Arizona Corporation Commission shows that B&N Aerosports LLC was formed in July 2014 with William S. Buckner listed as a member at the same address as his bankruptcy filing, was actively amended in December 2014, and remains active and in good standing today.
The Arizona Corporation Commission shows that Sean Buckner Industries LLC was formed in March 2006 with William S. Buckner as sole member and statutory agent and remains active and in good standing today.
The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona case 2:15-bk-02377-DPC shows that William S. Buckner's March 2015 bankruptcy petition signed under penalty of perjury discloses zero business ownership interests of any kind.
These public records are in direct conflict with each other. The discrepancy between what the Arizona Corporation Commission shows and what the bankruptcy filing discloses is real, documented, and verifiable by anyone with an internet connection.
Whether that discrepancy constitutes a material omission — and what the legal consequences of such an omission might be — are questions for attorneys, federal trustees, and courts to evaluate. What is not a question is whether the discrepancy exists. It does. The records show it plainly.
The Questions That Demand Answers
Sean Buckner is asking the voters of Oklahoma to send him to the United States Senate. He runs a platform called Transparency. He chose to respond publicly to our reporting and in doing so led investigators to records he apparently did not anticipate would be found.
The questions that now demand clear public answers are straightforward.
What is B&N Aerosports LLC? What was it formed to do? Was it the business entity through which Buckner operated his paragliding instruction business — the occupation he claimed as his sole income source in his bankruptcy filing? If so why was it not disclosed in that filing? Who is Charles J. Norris and what is his relationship to Buckner? What was the December 2014 amendment to B&N Aerosports LLC? Why was an LLC amended three months before a bankruptcy filing and then not disclosed in that filing?
What is Sean Buckner Industries LLC? Has it ever conducted any business? Has it ever held any assets? Is it connected to any other business entity?
Why do two active Arizona LLCs bearing Buckner's name and listing him as a member or sole member not appear anywhere in his 2015 federal bankruptcy schedules?
These are not complicated questions. They are the natural and logical questions that arise when publicly available government records directly contradict a federal court filing signed under penalty of perjury. They are questions that any bankruptcy trustee, any journalist, and frankly any voter would be entitled to ask of a man seeking one of the most powerful elected positions in American government.
