Sean Buckner Claims He Didn’t Work for Chinese Company. Facts? Let’s See.

In His Own Words: Sean Buckner Was the American Distributor for a Chinese Company — And His Own Posts Prove It

Forum posts signed Sean Buckner MakeSkyBlue USA with his Sallisaw Oklahoma address and his Senate campaign phone number leave no room for denial

Sean Buckner says he did not work for a Chinese company.

Sean Buckner is lying.

We do not use that word lightly in this publication. We have been careful throughout this investigation to present documented facts and let readers draw their own conclusions. But there are moments when the evidence is so clear, so specific, and so directly contradicted by a public denial that the only accurate word available is the one we just used.

He lied.

We know this because Sean Buckner told the truth in 2019 before he decided to run for Senate. He told it on a public internet forum in posts signed with his own name, his own phone number, his own email address, and his own home address in Sallisaw Oklahoma. The same phone number that appears on his 2026 Oklahoma Declaration of Candidacy for United States Senate. The same email address that appears on that same document. The same man. The same Sallisaw Oklahoma address he has called home for years.

There is no question of identity here. This is Sean Buckner. The Senate candidate. The man who runs the Facebook page called Sean Buckner Transparency. The man who wants Oklahoma voters to send him to Washington. That Sean Buckner. Writing in his own words about his own role as the American distributor for a Chinese technology company.

Let us go through exactly what he wrote because every word matters.

The Introduction Post: June 2019

In June 2019 Sean Buckner joined the solar-electric.com forum and introduced himself to the community in a thread discussing MakeSkyBlue Chinese MPPT solar charge controllers. This is his post in full. These are his words. Unedited. Unparaphrased.

HI I want to introduce myself. I'm Sean Buckner and I am the distributor in the USA for Make Sky Blue. I run the service center here in the US and have read most of the comments here. As far as some of the issues we have corrected many of them in V118. As for not honoring warranty this is incorrect. We honor warranties problem is that 80 percent of claims are damaged controllers inflicted by lack of knowledge. I know this first hand because I FIX all the controllers that come back. My phone number is 918-315-6128 if you have V117 it needs to be updated to V118 you can call me and we can discuss options.

Thanks Sean Buckner MakeSkyBlue USA

Read that again. Slowly.

I am the distributor in the USA for Make Sky Blue.

Not a customer. Not a reseller. Not someone who casually bought a product and liked it enough to mention it online. The distributor. In the USA. For Make Sky Blue. A Chinese company. He is identifying himself in an official commercial capacity. The American distribution point for a Chinese manufacturer's products.

I run the service center here in the US.

He runs it. He does not work at it. He does not contribute to it. He runs it. The service center. For a Chinese company. In the United States. Out of Oklahoma. The word run implies management, ownership, or operational control. This is not a casual description.

I know this first hand because I FIX all the controllers that come back.

He capitalizes the word FIX. He wants you to understand the emphasis. He is personally repairing Chinese manufactured electronics returned under warranty by American customers. Not some of them. All of them. First hand. With his own hands. In Sallisaw Oklahoma.

My phone number is 918-315-6128.

Go look at his 2026 Oklahoma Declaration of Candidacy filed with the Oklahoma State Election Board. The phone number in Section 5 Contact Information reads 918-315-6128.

The MakeSkyBlue service center phone number and the Oklahoma U.S. Senate candidacy phone number are the same number. Because they belong to the same man.

He signs it Sean Buckner, MakeSkyBlue USA.

That is a corporate signature. That is a man signing his name as a representative of a business entity. Not as a private individual. Not as a customer. As MakeSkyBlue USA. The American arm of a Chinese manufacturer's commercial operation in the United States.

The Warranty and Firmware Post: The Sallisaw Address

In a second post on the same forum Buckner posted a detailed technical service notice about a software defect affecting MakeSkyBlue controllers. This post is even more significant than the first because it includes his physical home address in Sallisaw Oklahoma as the official return shipping location for the Chinese company's American warranty repair operation.

This is his post.

So it has become evident that there is an error in the software in some V118 and V119 controllers that go into a rebooting mode. For the last 2 months I have been trying to identify what triggers this issue without any success. We are leaning on improper grounding of systems. We don't know exactly why it triggers but we do know that it triggered and goes into the protection mode. The symptoms will be this. When the controller reaches 500 watts of power it will reboot and go to the initialization screen. It then will start charging again until it hits 500 watts and repeats the cycle. You will hear the fan constantly cycling if you have more than 500 watts of power. These controllers need to be sent back to us and I can update the firmware to correct this issue. A few folks have had this issue including myself. The new software corrects this problem. Postage shall be paid by owner to us and we'll pay the postage back to you.

Thank you in advance. Call or text me and get confirmation of shipping.

Let us break this down sentence by sentence.

For the last 2 months I have been trying to identify what triggers this issue.

Two months of active technical investigation into a manufacturing defect on behalf of a Chinese company. This is not a casual weekend project. This is sustained professional engagement with a Chinese manufacturer's product quality problem. He is their American technical troubleshooter working a problem that he cannot solve over a two month period.

We are leaning on improper grounding of systems.

We. Not they. Not the company. We. He identifies himself as part of the organization investigating this problem. We is the language of membership. Of belonging. Of shared responsibility. This is how an employee, a partner, or an authorized representative speaks. Not how a customer speaks.

These controllers need to be sent back to us.

Again. Us. He is part of the company. The controllers come back to us. To him and MakeSkyBlue. Together. Us.

I can update the firmware to correct this issue.

This is the most technically significant line in the entire post. Firmware update capability for Chinese manufactured electronic products is not something that is given to random customers. It requires direct technical authorization from the manufacturer. It requires access to proprietary software and update tools. It requires training and certification from the manufacturer. Sean Buckner had all of that. Because MakeSkyBlue gave it to him. Because he was their authorized American service center operator.

Return shipping address: MakeSkyBlueUSA, Sean Buckner, 107360 S 4650 Rd, Sallisaw OK 74955.

This is the line that removes any remaining ambiguity. Any final thread of innocent explanation. Any residual possibility of misidentification or mischaracterization.

107360 S 4650 Rd, Sallisaw OK 74955.

That is Sean Buckner's address. In Sallisaw. In Sequoyah County Oklahoma. The county where he lives. The county where he registered to vote. The county where he filed his Declaration of Candidacy for United States Senate. His address. Listed as the official return shipping address for a Chinese company's American warranty repair operation.

American customers who bought Chinese solar controllers and experienced manufacturing defects were mailing their products to Sean Buckner's address in Sallisaw Oklahoma where he would physically repair them using firmware provided by the Chinese manufacturer and ship them back to the customers on the company's behalf.

This is a physical commercial operation. Packages arriving. Products being disassembled. Firmware being updated. Products being repackaged and shipped back. All at a Sallisaw Oklahoma address. All on behalf of a Chinese company. All by Sean Buckner.

The Forum Community Confirmed It Independently

It was not only Buckner's own posts that documented his role. The forum community confirmed it independently from multiple directions.

A forum administrator with 33,734 posts and super moderator status — a person with no connection to Oklahoma politics and no stake in Sean Buckner's Senate campaign — posted his contact information in March 2020 in response to a user who was trying to reach him for product support.

MakeSkyBlue representative: Sean Buckner, 918-315-6128, Pgseanb@gmail.com.

An independent third party confirmed his identity and title in writing. MakeSkyBlue representative. Sean Buckner. The same phone number. The same email. The same man.

In December 2020 a forum user posted about calling him directly for technical advice.

Just called Sean Buckner the USA rep for Blue Sky. He says no the controller can't handle above max PV input and I would have to wire controllers in parallel to achieve that.

A customer called him. He answered. He gave technical advice. As the USA rep. In December 2020. More than five years after his 2015 bankruptcy in which he declared no business interests of any kind under penalty of perjury.

Three independent sources confirming the same commercial relationship. His own posts. A forum administrator. A forum customer. All saying the same thing. Sean Buckner. MakeSkyBlue. USA rep. Distributor. Service center. Sallisaw Oklahoma.

The Email Address That Connects Everything

The email address Pgseanb@gmail.com appears in the forum administrator's post as Buckner's MakeSkyBlue contact email.

That same email address appears in Section 5 of his 2026 Oklahoma Declaration of Candidacy for United States Senate filed with the Oklahoma State Election Board.

The Chinese company email and the Senate candidacy email are identical. Because they belong to the same man who never bothered to separate his identity as a Chinese company's American service operator from his identity as a Republican Senate candidate.

He filed for Senate using the email address he used to handle warranty repairs for a Chinese manufacturer.

That is not an accident. That is a man who does not think there is anything wrong with what he did. Or a man who thought nobody would look. Either way Oklahoma voters are looking now.

He Said He Didn't Work for Them. His Own Posts Say Otherwise.

Sean Buckner has denied his relationship with MakeSkyBlue. He has characterized the reporting about it as false. He has suggested this publication fabricated or misrepresented the connection.

There is nothing to misrepresent. The posts are public. The forum is public. The words are his. The signature is his. The phone number is his. The email is his. The address is his.

He introduced himself as the distributor in the USA for Make Sky Blue.

He said he runs the service center here in the US.

He said he fixes all the controllers that come back.

He listed his Sallisaw Oklahoma home address as the official warranty return shipping address for MakeSkyBlue USA.

He signed his posts Sean Buckner, MakeSkyBlue USA.

He is either saying his own posts are false — that he lied to the forum community about his role in 2019 — or he is lying now when he denies the relationship to voters in 2026.

One of those things is true. Only he knows which one. But voters can evaluate both options and decide what they think about a Senate candidate whose public statements cannot be simultaneously accurate.

What This Means for Oklahoma Voters

The United States Senate votes on trade policy affecting Chinese manufacturers. It votes on tariffs on Chinese technology products including solar components. It oversees the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies that regulate foreign commercial relationships in American markets. It considers legislation specifically targeting Chinese technology companies and their American operations.

A United States Senator from Oklahoma who was the named American distributor for a Chinese solar technology manufacturer — who ran their service center, repaired their products, updated their firmware, and listed his home address as their official American warranty return point — has a direct and personal commercial history with the exact category of foreign business that Senate legislation regularly addresses.

He did not disclose this history when he filed for Senate. He listed the same email address and phone number he used for that Chinese company on his Declaration of Candidacy without disclosing what those contact details had previously been used for. And when this publication reported the connection he denied it.

His own words from his own posts on a public internet forum make that denial impossible.

The forum posts are there. They have always been there. They will continue to be there. They say what they say. Sean Buckner wrote them. Sean Buckner signed them. Sean Buckner listed his Sallisaw Oklahoma address on them as MakeSkyBlue USA.

Oklahoma voters have until June 16 to decide what they think about a Senate candidate whose public denial of a Chinese commercial relationship is directly and specifically contradicted by his own public words.

The posts are real. The address is real. The phone number is real. The email is real. The man is real.

And the denial is false.
